For this assignment we had to learn how to use photoshop to put together a panorama from separate photos we took. in each picture I took at least 5 pictures for each. Here are 5 different panoramas that I made. I learned many skills while doing this assignment, I learned how to take basic pictures by using a tripod, I also learned how to put the basic pictures together using photoshop. I enjoyed doing this assignment, it was fun to do.

For this assignment we had to pick one topic to shoot pictures for. The task was to take 50 pictures or more of this topic. After shooting we had to choose the best picture and follow it up with the next best 5. I was originally going to take pictures at my swim meet, but ended up not having the time. ISO: 100 Aperture: f/5.0 Shutter Speed: 1/1000 From this assignment I learned that, capturing nature is so much easier when it is sunny outside. Something that went well was that it didn't take me as long as I though it would, and I got to do something fun with my cousin.
For my third shooting assignment, I have decided to focus on event. I want to get better at telling a story with my pictures.
Some pictures that I found that have inspired me are: goo.gl/images/CXbBKB goo.gl/images/ueDCQZ goo.gl/images/1iJEkq I think these are good event pictures because they are taken at a meet without directly telling you what is happening, it leaves the viewer to tell a story in their mind. I plan on taking pictures at my swim meet and hopefully getting some pictures that are close to these ones. For this assignment, we had to pick one category to focus on. From this category the task was to take 50 pictures or more. We had to pick the best one and follow that up with the next best 5. I took pictures of LOTS of nature. From this assignment I learned that I am more afraid of spiders than I thought, and that you need to take time to think about how the aperture and shutter speed are going to affect your image. Something that went well was I figured out how to use the macro setting on my camera.
For this assignment, we took a picture of a car and retouched it by using the quick selection tool and the clone stamp. After we finished the first picture, we got the chance to try again with a picture of our choice. Original Edit with guidelines Original 2nd edit After doing this assignment, I realized that I have learned so much. I learned about stamping objects, and changing hue and saturation. I feel like I have a much better grasp on all of these topics and will now be able to use them without following directions.
For my second shooting assignment, I have decided to focus on Macro. I want to get better at finding details that are not often seen.
Some pictures that I have found online that made me inspired are: 1.)goo.gl/images/Jv5XWm 2.)goo.gl/images/NtkgRL 3.)goo.gl/images/K8zmpH I think these are good macro pictures because they get very close to the subject. The pictures bring out details that would not be able to be seen through a normal picture. I plan on taking pictures in my garden of flowers and bugs. In this assignment we had to pick one topic to take at least 50 pictures of. We had to pick our best one and follow it up with our next best 5. I picked people and took pictures of my friend and my sister. ISO = 160 Aperture = f/4.0 Shutter Speed = 1/1000 From this assignment I learned that taking pictures on a cloudy day takes a lot of time due to constantly needing to change the image triangle settings. Something that went well was, my subjects are very fun and boisterous, so the photographs show lots of personality.
In this assignment we used a photo of ourselves, and we used it in photoshop to change the colors, and crop it. We learned how to use photoshop in more ways than we already knew. Original Photo I learned about more tools that I can use in photoshop. First we learned how to crop an image and turn it black and white. Then we had to learn how to use the rulers to cut the image into fourths, we duplicated the image and put them in each fourth of the image. Finally, we learned how to change the hue and saturation in each picture, which changed the color.
In these images I was trying to demonstrate motion blur by changing the shutter speeds. In the first picture with a shutter speed of 1/50 you can see the blur movement, compared to the fourth picture with a shutter speed of 1/1250 where you can see stop movement. In these pictures I was trying to demonstrate depth-of-field by changing the camera's aperture settings. In the first picture the aperture is set at f/2.8, this causes a short depth-of-field, which makes the apple in the foreground is very soft and out of focus. As I progressed through to the higher aperture settings I got to the fourth picture. In this one, the aperture is set at f/8.0, this causes a deep depth-of-field, which causes the apple in the foreground to be in focus. 1.) A FAST shutter speed will stop any movement in the frame, and the image will be darker.
2.) A SLOW shutter speed can blur movement, and the image will be brighter. 3.) A LARGE aperture gives an image a short depth-of-field, and will make the picture brighter. 4.) A SMALL aperture gives an image a deep depth-of-field, and will make the picture darker. For my first shooting assignment, I have decided to focus on people. I want to work on getting better at using shallow depth of field by adjusting the aperture in my camera.
Some photographs that I have found online that I will use for inspiration are as follows: 1.) goo.gl/images/opCvyc 2.) goo.gl/images/G1Axk4 3.) goo.gl/images/Abzeyb I think that these are good people examples because they use the shallow depth of field technique very well. The background is very soft and the subject is in focus. I swim a lot, so I think I will take it to a practice to get some pictures of people getting ready to swim, or after they swim. |
