In this assignment I took pictures of food that I thought looked yummy. I took about 50 pictures of my dinner one night. Here is my best one followed by my next best 5. Aperture: f/3.5 Shutter Speed: 1/20 ISO: 500 **NO EDITING** In this assignment I had to use angles and how close I was to the subject to get a good picture. Something that was hard for me during this assignment was the lighting. The kitchen light is pretty dull.

In this assignment we had to take a few pictures of the same person in the same scene. We had to layer them over top one another, this made the person in the other picture show through. These are the 2 pictures I edited for this assignment. in this assignment I learned how to stack photos on top of each other. I also learned how to use the lasso tool. Next time I would space out my subject each time so that I don't get confused when photoshopping it.
For this assignment we had to take 50 pictures of a chosen category. We had to pick the best and follow it up with the next best 5. The category I chose was Animal. I took pictures of my cat Sampson. Aperture: f/3.5 Shutter Speed: 1/60 ISO: 400 **NO EDITING WAS DONE** Something that went well for this assignment was Sampson was very tired and grumpy, which allowed me to capture those emotions in my photographs. Something that was difficult for me was how much he moved around.
In this assignment we had to take a picture of some part of our school. We had to photoshop different pictures into the photo, changing the original to look very different. I used a picture of windows that lead into the natatorium. Original Edited
For this assignment we had to learn how to use photoshop to put together a panorama from separate photos we took. in each picture I took at least 5 pictures for each. Here are 5 different panoramas that I made. I learned many skills while doing this assignment, I learned how to take basic pictures by using a tripod, I also learned how to put the basic pictures together using photoshop. I enjoyed doing this assignment, it was fun to do.
For this assignment we had to pick one topic to shoot pictures for. The task was to take 50 pictures or more of this topic. After shooting we had to choose the best picture and follow it up with the next best 5. I was originally going to take pictures at my swim meet, but ended up not having the time. ISO: 100 Aperture: f/5.0 Shutter Speed: 1/1000 From this assignment I learned that, capturing nature is so much easier when it is sunny outside. Something that went well was that it didn't take me as long as I though it would, and I got to do something fun with my cousin.
For my third shooting assignment, I have decided to focus on event. I want to get better at telling a story with my pictures.
Some pictures that I found that have inspired me are: goo.gl/images/CXbBKB goo.gl/images/ueDCQZ goo.gl/images/1iJEkq I think these are good event pictures because they are taken at a meet without directly telling you what is happening, it leaves the viewer to tell a story in their mind. I plan on taking pictures at my swim meet and hopefully getting some pictures that are close to these ones. For this assignment, we had to pick one category to focus on. From this category the task was to take 50 pictures or more. We had to pick the best one and follow that up with the next best 5. I took pictures of LOTS of nature. From this assignment I learned that I am more afraid of spiders than I thought, and that you need to take time to think about how the aperture and shutter speed are going to affect your image. Something that went well was I figured out how to use the macro setting on my camera.
For this assignment, we took a picture of a car and retouched it by using the quick selection tool and the clone stamp. After we finished the first picture, we got the chance to try again with a picture of our choice. Original Edit with guidelines Original 2nd edit After doing this assignment, I realized that I have learned so much. I learned about stamping objects, and changing hue and saturation. I feel like I have a much better grasp on all of these topics and will now be able to use them without following directions.
For my second shooting assignment, I have decided to focus on Macro. I want to get better at finding details that are not often seen.
Some pictures that I have found online that made me inspired are: 1.)goo.gl/images/Jv5XWm 2.)goo.gl/images/NtkgRL 3.)goo.gl/images/K8zmpH I think these are good macro pictures because they get very close to the subject. The pictures bring out details that would not be able to be seen through a normal picture. I plan on taking pictures in my garden of flowers and bugs. |
